Sales Negotiator 

Term: Permanent
Working hours: Full-time
Location: Garstang 
Salary range: £17 – £19k

We are looking for a full-time sales negotiator to join our successful, Village, Rural and High-end Agency Team at Garstang.

 

In this role, you will handle all types of enquiries, arrange marketing appraisals and viewings, proactively match applicant and property databases, receive and negotiate offers, report to our surveyors and ensure that our high levels of customer service are maintained.   Attending viewings may also be required from time to time.

 

Ideally, we are looking for someone with previous estate agency experience although this is not essential for the right candidate. You must have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and be highly organised.  You must be able to work as part of a strong team and hold a full UK driving licence.  Salary will be dependent on experience.

 

Chartered Surveyor (Planning and Development) vacancy – 3 + years PQE

Term: Permanent
Working hours: Full-time
Location: Throughout our region ideally based at the South Lancashire office
Salary range: Competitive

 

You will be able to “hit the ground running” in picking up existing work, as well as assisting with the growth and the development of the team at the office base.

Reporting directly to the Partners, the position will involve all aspects of professional work.  There will be the opportunity to tailor the role to suit an individual’s requirements, based around the following areas of practice:

  • Option and Promotion Agreement advise to Landowners
  • Development Land Agency
  • Residential and Commercial
  • Green and Brownfield
  • Viability Appraisals
  • Valuation work
The ideal candidate will:

  • have in excess of 3 years PQE
  • have the necessary understanding to provide high quality and professional advice to a variety of client types and aim to exceed clients’ expectations;
  • have the ability to manage their own workload and provide support to other team members as required;
  • be able to work independently and be proactive in generating new work and
  • be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and promote the values of Armitstead Barnett both internally and externally.

Cumbria Office

Location: Kendal

  • Dealing with development sites and opportunities
  • Subsidy and grant claims

Graduate Surveyor 

 

We are growing and looking to recruit another Graduate Surveyor.  The successful candidate will assist and support the partners and associate in all aspects of professional work, including but not limited to:-

  • Compulsory purchase and compensation claims
  • Rural, village, and high-end estate agency
  • Agricultural land and property management
  • Agricultural landlord and tenant matters
  • Live and deadstock auctioneering
  • Valuations
  • Subsidy and grant claims.

The candidate will be due to complete, or will have completed an RICS accredited degree.  They will be highly motivated to gain both RICS and CAAV qualifications and also to progress in their careers.  The candidate must be forward thinking and up to speed with rural affairs.  They will be highly organised, with a strong work ethic, enthusiastic and dynamic.

Bookkeeper/Finance Assistant 

North Lancashire Office 

Term: Permanent
Working hours: Part-time (Circa. 15 hours)
Location: Garstang 
Salary range: Competitive

The business is growing rapidly and as such we now look to recruit a Part-time Finance person to assist us in the day to day functions.

The right applicant will be able to maintain good financial records, have a very sound knowledge of Sage accounting system, organise payments to creditors in a timely manner, prepare VAT returns, control and chase outstanding accounts and prepare financial dashboards for review by the Partners.

The role is predominantly bookkeeping, preparation of monthly P & L and HMRC Vat returns.  Experience in a medium sized business and commercial experience is helpful.  Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

Part-time hours can be arranged to suit, circa 15 hours with the ability to grow.

 

 

PA/Secretary – Maternity Cover  

North Lancashire Office 

Term: Temporary 
Working hours: Full-time 
Location: Garstang 
Salary range: Competitive

We are looking for a full-time PA/Secretary in our Garstang office, to provide maternity cover.  This key position will provide secretarial support and assistance to one of our Partners, working in a busy and vibrant environment.

We are looking for a self-motivated, hard-working team player who is able to work under pressure and meet deadlines whilst still maintaining high standards of work and attention to detail.  You will need to have a strong character, excellent interpersonal skills and outstanding organisational skills.

Digital dictation is an integral element of the role, therefore you must have previous experience in this and also a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.  Knowledge of Sage 50 Accounting would also be and advantage, although not essential as full training will be given.  Previous secretarial experience, enthusiasm and a pleasant demeanor are essential for this important position.  Previous estate agency experience is not essential.

 

Administration Assistant – Apprenticeship

Salary range: £4.50 ph 

We are looking for an Administration Assistant to assist support staff, agency staff, chartered surveyors and professional valuers to deliver a quality service to our clients.  This is a very happy, fast-paced environment and we would like to recruit the right person who will develop with the varied career opportunity.

Advanced Level Apprenticeship

As administration assistant you will ultimately be part of the support team.  Initially duties will include:

  • Phone answering.
  • Progress of call to the relevant department, note conversations on Reapit (Estate Agency Software).
  • Create Marketing Newsletters.
  • Social media content upload, monitor.
  • Create property brochures and window cards using Microsoft suite.
  • Coding and purchase ledger invoices input into Sage, create relevant reports.
  • Assist with credit control and debtors.
  • Client facing – dealing with visitors, meeting rooms, help with drinks for meetings.
  • Assist with Data cleansing in preparation for the implementation of a CRM system.
  • Diary management.
  • Outgoing post.
  • Archiving, closure and completion of case files.
  • Using spreadsheet databases.
  • Stationery ordering.
