Armitstead Barnett is a fast paced, dynamic firm of Chartered Surveyors and Estate Agents.

We are looking for a Secretary in our Garstang office.  We will consider any working pattern for the right candidate.  Initially, this is a fixed term role, to cover Maternity leave.  This key position will provide secretarial support and assistance to our Partners, working in a busy and vibrant environment.

We are looking for a self-motivated, hardworking team-player who is able to work under pressure and meet deadlines whilst maintaining high standards of work and attention to detail.  You will need to have a strong character, excellent interpersonal skills and outstanding organisational skills.

Digital Dictation is an integral element of the role, therefore you must have previous experience in this together with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.  Previous secretarial experience, enthusiasm and a pleasant demeanour are essential for this important position.  Previous Estate Agency experience is not essential.

We are looking to recruit an experienced sales negotiator who can hit the ground, running.  Based at either our Garstang or Burscough offices, this role is integral to this vibrant, growing team, working in a very busy environment.

Having experience of using a property database, understanding the sales process and with the tenacity to deal with sales progressions, this busy yet rewarding role may be the ideal opportunity for you.

We are looking for a full-time member of staff to join our successful village, rural and high-end Agency team.  With a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and being highly organised, you must be able to work as part of a strong team but be self-motivated and hold a full UK driving licence.  Salary will be dependent on experience.

About Us

Armitstead Barnett are a well-respected and well known mixed practice of Chartered Surveyors, spread over four offices in Lancashire and Cumbria.  We have a thriving residential agency department, specialising in higher value and country property, together with a strong and very well established agricultural team dealing with  valuation, sales and management.  Our professional valuation department undertakes a large volume of valuation work within the north west of England. We aim to consistently deliver an outstanding level of service to our clients in all aspects of the work which we undertake.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new GP surveyor to join our valuation team as a result of continued organic growth.  You will undertake interesting and varied commercial and residential valuation work, primarily across Lancashire and Merseyside, based in our South Lancashire office. This will include secured lending valuations, but we also generate a significant volume of private client work through both long established and more recent professional relationships.

About You

We are ideally looking for someone with around 3 years’ post qualification experience who is a full member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Registered Valuer.  Your experience will mean that you can quickly become a full member of the team, but you will be able to collaborate with a partner on a day-to-day basis.

You will have the ability to produce high quality reports in a timely manner and will be enthusiastic in work and at play, keen to develop new relationships.

A highly competitive salary and car allowance are available, with the scope for the right person to develop his or her experience and career within the firm.
