Agency Update April/May 2020

25th April 2020

Things have changed dramatically since the last newsletter, with people and businesses all learning to navigate our way around the Covid-19 pandemic, as safely as possible.  Our offices might be closed, but we are still very much open and operating with a network of team members, from our homes, its busy busy, busy!

Activity in respect of the housing market has remained surprisingly strong during this lock down period. We thought giving you a brief insight into the interest may help. The agency department has seen a pent up demand with some of the headlines being:

  • We have towards 300 viewings to arrange as lock down lifts.
  • There are good levels of interest across the market throughout the price ranges for residential properties
  • New build enquiries on smaller sites remains strong.
  • We are seeing strong interest in agricultural property
  • We have plenty of instructions waiting to come to market
  • The majority of our vendors are holding their properties on the market, many have pending viewings
  • Vendors are preparing for the lock down to be lifted, making little improvements, looking at photographs and pricing
  • Plenty of interest in the rentals sector which is also showing pent up demand
  • Interest rates are low, banks are working on ways to continue lending – we can recommend a mortgage advisor to suit your needs.

Getting the right advice is critical, now more than ever.  We would love to speak with you about your property, whether you are thinking of selling now or in the future – we love what we do and love to help people move! If we can give you any further information on a property that we are selling or if you would like to book a viewing, let us know – let us help you.
