When to instruct solicitors

1st September 2022

Simply put…  as soon as possible!

In todays’ current market it is best to instruct solicitors early on to avoid any delays or extra time it will take for the transaction. Ideally this should be around the same time that an agent is instructed, it can reduce time and stress later down the line if everything is planned out.

“Pre Covid” it was normal to only instruct solicitors once an offer had been accepted, one of the last things in the process. However, with the huge demands on conveyancers, there can be a backlog, with challenging demands on their time and high workloads with properties selling so quickly and a large quantity of them.
