An EPC is a document that looks at a variety of factors within a property including age, construction, internal area, space heating, water heating and renewables in order to come to a rating between A-G which describes how energy efficient that property is. An EPC will give some basic advice to the homeowner concerning how the EPC rating could be improved. Some funding is available for the installation of some of these improvements, however this support is generally difficult to obtain and most landlords will find themselves footing the bill to bring their property up an E or above
