The boroughs of South Preston, including Lostock Hall, Leyland and Bamber Bridge, falling under the jurisdiction of South Ribble Borough Council, provide a range of fantastic benefits but the connectivity particularly is unrivalled.
Having spent most of my childhood in the home counties, I moved up to Lancashire some two years ago. As some whose hobbies revolve mainly around the outdoors, I was attracted to the area by the rugged landscape and range of environment from coast to river valley to moorland. Having always lived rurally, I wondered whether Lostock Hall would provide me with what I was used to. However, any concerns were quickly expelled once I had a chance to explore the local area. Spoilt for choice by walks from the door, my border collie pup and I spend much of our time enjoying the local green spaces including Avenham Park and Cuerden Valley Park, not to mention the Guild Wheel and the countryside bordering the River Ribble.
General access into Preston is just a short journey by car, bus or train, which of course provides access to all the conveniences you could wish for including schools, general amenities, shops, eateries and club and hobby prospects and employment opportunities.
Further afield, access to other features is easy and hassle free. Pendle Hill, the Forest of Bowland and the West Pennine Moors are all a short drive away. The M6 and the M65, both found on the doorstep, afford fantastic access along all points of the compass. When it comes to travelling further afield to Manchester, Liverpool, the Peak District, or to the Lake District and beyond, these arterial routes enable the traveller to make quick progress.
The property in the area is hugely varied, with all manner of real estate provided for, including one-of-a-kind listed buildings bursting with character, to new build development schemes, to larger properties with spacious interiors and ample outdoor space. This variety results in a diverse and friendly community.
Armitstead Barnett would be delighted to help you realise your dream to live in a beautiful property here in the South Ribble District.
