I have worked in Estate Agency since I finished school.. stuffing envelopes as soon as I was able to work in an office, listening to the calls, the negotiations, the thrills and the spills, typically leading to a successful sale – you can tell I love my work and the industry! 

I joined Armitstead Barnett on 1^st April 2020… in the middle of the first covid lockdown.   Inevitably an unchartered time for many agents, but Hannah Towers, our Head of Agency assured me that I was still needed, couldn’t be furloughed and so I had to make myself useful from the outset!  I had worked in an estate agent before but, Armitstead Barnett does everything to a MUCH higher standard than most, I learnt so much in my first year! 

Around 2 years ago I was asked to step up to Senior Property Agent, taking a lead in our South Lancashire Office, based in Burscough.  Having knowledge of villages South of Preston and surrounding Chorley and Leyland, I knew I needed to know a bit more about Burscough.  I will admit it is a hidden gem!  The busy A59 trundles through the centre, and that is all most people see.  There is so much to this super little town, I am pleased to call it the home of our South Lancashire Office and I am so proud to oversee the agency there.  It serves as a great centre to our patch, which runs up to Preston, across to Bolton and down as far as the Lancashire border, we even sneak in a cheeky Cheshire instruction from time to time!

Burscough itself offers a great community with good local amenities.  We love an after-work drink in The Thirsty Duck and have enjoyed meals in The Hop Vine and The Fat Italian.  We have made an attempt at the local pub quiz however we feel it is best to stick to selling houses! The Wharf is growing in popularity and there are some amazing walking routes, predominantly along the Leeds/Liverpool canal.  It is so handy to have rail links to Liverpool and Preston too, and the motorway junctions aren’t too far away. 

Our office in Burscough is on the main run through, Tesco offers plenty of parking for our clients, so swing in and say hello to our Sales and Lettings team.  There is a wide range of picturesque towns and villages that I can visit within our South Lancashire patch providing Market Appraisals to all types of property.  If you are thinking of selling your home or would like a general chat about the market, I would love to speak to you, and on behalf of our team, we would love to sell or let your home!
