As part of the three year standalone capital grant agreements (SCG), there are four main groups of options.  One of the groups focuses on boundary improvements and tree and orchard creation.  Within this group there are 27 options to choose from.  Below are some of the popular options chosen:

Popular boundary options

• BN5 – Hedgerow laying – £13.52/m
• BN7 – Hedgerow gapping- up – £17.22 /m
• BN11 – Planting new hedges – £22.97/m
• BN12 – Stone wall restoration – £31.91/m
• BN13 – Top wiring – stone wall – £5.54 (This can only be used with BN12)
• FG12 – Wooden field gate – £489 per gate

In addition to the above, fencing (FG1) and sheep netting (FG2) are available to apply for under the water quality group to install next to boundary options.  For example, planting a new hedge or hedge laying. 

Popular tree & orchard options

• AF1 – Plant an agroforestry woodland tree – £5.40 per tree
• AF2 – Plant an agroforestry fruit tree – £17.83 per tree
• TE1 – Planting a standard hedgerow tree – £19.06 (This option can be used with other hedgerow boundary options)
• TE6/7/8 – Tree guard – Tube & mesh – £3.95 per guard / Wood post & rail – £109.64 per guard / Wood post & wire – £132.16 per guard
• WB1/2/3 – Wildlife Box – Small – £11.95 per box / Medium – £27.91 per box / Large – £38.28 per box
