Many people associate Armitstead Barnett with selling exceptional Rural Residential Property, however, as a business we are founded and led by Rural Chartered Surveyors having knowledge and expertise in Land and Property, covering all rural matters across the Ribble Valley.

Being born and bred in the Hodder Valley, I have been surrounded by our wonderful landscape all my life and understand the rural matters impacting the sector and area for which we operate.  Our landscape is crisscrossed with rural estates and privately rented land and property of all sizes and character and we assist both Landlords and Tenants regarding Tenancy matters and Rural Property management.  Over the last 4 years, we have been heavily involved with the Duchy of Lancaster regarding the letting of residential property across their rural Lancashire portfolios and especially on the prestigious Whitewell Estate.

Miles of utilities (including water/gas pipelines and electricity) also intersect the regions agricultural land, with numerous water pipelines travelling down from the Bowland Fells and Stocks Reservoir to feed to the larger conurbations surrounding the borough.  As demand on services within the region continues, we act for numerous landowners and occupiers regarding the continued utility infrastructure being upgraded or installed, ensuring all legal rights and procedures are followed and landowners are compensated fully.

Being specialised agricultural and rural valuers, we complete a large range of valuation work for all purposes, including Estate Planning, Probate, Property Disputes and Secured Lending.  We also assist agricultural businesses to gain finance for continued growth and investment through the Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (AMC).  Grants and Subsidies also form an important area for the agricultural and rural sector, and we advise and assist with rural funding applications including the Basic Payment and Environmental Schemes.
