Top 5 places to visit in Burscough

14th March 2024

One of West Lancashire’s most vibrant, understated villages is the proud home of our South Lancashire Office.  We here in Burscough, simply cannot contain our pride in our fine village.  We have put together a list of our favourite attractions in the area:

  1. Canal Walks
  2. Hop Vine
  3. Windmill Animal Farm
  4. Burscough Wharf
  5. Armitstead Barnett

With the Leeds-Liverpool canal we have some picturesque walks on our doorstep, perfect for our four-legged friends and a lunchtime stroll in the sun. A favourite of our Burscough team, this village pub was built back in 1874 with a vintage interior, cobbled beer garden and some great food. Windmill Animal Farm is a great family day out, offering visitors the chance to experience the everyday running of an actual working farm, whilst still having the chance to watch, feed and touch the animals. A cobbled courtyard formerly offering warehousing for the canal trade, now given a fresh lease of life as a thriving hub for local small businesses, eateries and bars.  We have made an attempt at the local pub quiz however we feel we are best sticking to selling and letting properties.

To top the day off, why not drop in and have a brew!  If you are thinking of selling or letting your home, have questions on buying a property, or would like a general chat about the market, we would love to help.
