Beautiful Brindle

7th September 2023

The idyllic village of Brindle is nestled in the heart of Lancashire and is the quintessential picture postcard village.  Set amongst rolling fields and country hedgerows, Brindle is a small settlement centred around the traditional heart of the village where the local primary school, church and pub and be found.

As one of the oldest Parishes in Lancashire, Brindle is steeped in history and local legend.  One of the most famous legends is that of the ‘Brindle Cuckoo’ where, in medieval times, it is said that villagers attempted to capture a local cuckoo bird.  It was hoped that the cuckoo, whose presence signalled the arrival of spring, would bring favourable weather all year-round and therefore success to local farmers.  It is reputed that villagers constructed a wall around the Cuckoo – unfortunately, the wall was not built high enough and the Cuckoo escaped.

There is plenty to do in and around Brindle, with local walks a-plenty and a plethora of public footpaths linking the village with nearby settlements such as Withnell, Wheelton and Brinscall.  Larger settlements such as Chorley, Leyland and Buckshaw Village are only a stone’s throw away via local road networks, with the M65, M61 and M6 motorways being only minutes away providing easy access to Preston, Blackburn and beyond.

We have recently completed on several properties in Brindle with each achieving high levels of interest, in some cases going to ‘Best and Final Offers’ to achieve swift sales for our vendors.   Demand is high in the area and we have HOT buyers waiting.  If you have anything similar that you are considering selling, please do get in touch for a complimentary market appraisal.
